CANADIAN MIRACLE ON ICE!
The Clarence-Rockland Crush Atom Major Rep B hockey team travelled to Lake Placid NY 1-3 November and went undefeated to win the Gold medal in the Squirt/Atom Division of the CAN/AM Challenge Cup. The team came together in the historic Lake Placid Olympic Centre, home of the famous 1980 'Miracle on Ice' where the US Olympic Hockey Team defeated the Soviet team for the Gold medal. This time, undefeated in the 4 game round robin tournament, the Crush won the Gold medal game 4-2; this was truly the time for the Canadian Miracle on Ice! A highlight for the team was also the opportunity to play against (and beat) the team coached by veteran NHLer Mark Messier. Way to go CRUSH!
MIRACLE SUR GLACE CANADIEN! L'équipe Clarence-Rockland Crush atome majeur Rep B s'est rendu à Lake Placid au New York le 1 au 3 novembre et à remporter la médaille d'or dans la division squirt/atome du tournoi CAN/AM Challenge Cup. L'équipe s'est réunis au centre olympique de Lake Placid, lieu historique du célèbre miracle sur glace de 1980 où l'équipe de hockey olympique américaine a battu l'équipe soviétique pour la médaille d'or. Cette fois, invaincu dans le tournoi, le Crush a remporté le match final 4-2 pour la médaille d'or. C'était vraiment le temps pour le miracle canadien sur la glace! Un point saillant pour l'équipe était d'avoir eu la chance a jouer contre (et a battre) l'équipe sous la direction du veteran de la LNH, Mark Messier! Bravo CRUSH!
